Nightmare Before Christmas Nursery
“T’was a long time ago, longer now than it seems in a place perhaps you’ve seen in your dreams. For the story you’re about to be told began with the holiday worlds of auld. Now you’ve probably wondered where holidays come from. If you haven’t I’d say it’s time you begun.”
The Nightmare Before Christmas is, perhaps, for some, dark, scary and weird. But for some others is a beautiful story about discovering new worlds, understanding new things and making new friends. And (in my humble opinion) the best Christmas movie of all time.
But would I decorate a nursery with a Tim Burton-esque black and white palette? Yes. And so did these parents, whose identity I wish I knew, so I can could congratulate them on this wonderful project.
For sake of this post, let’s call them Jack and Sally. When bombarded with comments about how twisted that was, to decorate a baby’s room with such dark colors, Sally’s answer was amazing. “Since black and white are the first colors babies can really identify, we thought it was perfect. I don’t think babies understand ‘creepy’.”
I wonder if they named the baby Zero.
Jack did the mural painting by hand, but if you’re not that talented you can buy a vinyl decal.
Made with over 60 diapers this Nightmare Before Christmas diaper cake comes filled with baby goodies such as lotions, oils, shampoo, pacifiers, bottle and other essentials.
Set your heart aglow with the Moonlight Lamp. The fully sculpted, hand-painted base is handcrafted and stars Jack and Sally (followed by Zero, of course!), topped by a lamp shade that glows with eerie blue “moonlight”.
He’s a master of fright, and a demon of light, and he’ll scare you right out of your pants. High Quality Plush 8″ tall.
Of course black and white are the official colors of Halloweentown, but an accent color would make all the difference in your nursery. You could go all green, purple, orange or red to stay true to the spirit of Oogie Boogie or go pastel, for a softer look.
At RockerByeBaby you can choose from 16 different Nightmare Before Christmas themed fabric patterns and you can choose the accent color as well. The 3 piece crib bedding set comes with 1 crib size blanket, a four pieced bumper and 1 throw pillow.
As speaking of cribs, help your future pumpkin king have sweet dreams about Sandy Claws with a cute mobile.
These love birds can’t wait to dance above your favorite baby’s crib, and coax every sleepyhead off to dreamy time. The canopy features the Nightmare themed fabric, and can be finished with any kind of edge you choose.
Or you can DIY a mobile using this plush set of 5 characters. Made of ultra soft plush material. Too cute… I mean scary for their own good!
Make the room cosy with throw pillows, lot and lots of pillows.
My dearest friend, if you don’t mind… I’d like to join you by your side. Where we can gaze into the stars… And sit together, now and forever. For it is plain, as anyone can see. We’re simply meant to be.
And does he notice my feelings for him? And will he see how much he means to me?
My, what a brilliant nose you have. The better to light my way! You’re the head of the team, Zero!
And for the first time since I don’t remember when I felt like my old bony self again. And I can’t wait until next Halloween.
And of course, lovingly spooky decorations.
These vibrantly colored storybook style prints come printed on a heavy cover stock available in 8.5″ or 12″ square prints and are also available heavily glossed on 12″ painted canvases.
Jack’s grinning, glowing head lights the way, as a skeletal hand holds it aloft.
And of course you can forget to dress up your little pumpkin king or little rag doll to with it.
