Chocolates are a girl’s best friend. Specially on Valentine’s Day. Even more special when you make them yourself from scratch. I love melting chocolate and reshaping it into something cute and delicious. To celebrate Valentine’s Day this year, I made a surprise box of chocolates with my favorite fillings, including pecans, butterscotch and marshmallow.
Handmade gifts are the best, specially when it comes to Valentine’s Day. I guess I’m a cheap date, I’ll take stolen flowers over diamonds any day. But if you disagree, I still think diamond earrings would feel extra special if they came in a handmade paper box.
Happy Valentine’s Day! To celebrate this year, I made maraschino cherry flavoured macarons with an white chocolate ganache filling. They came out finger licking great. Crunchy and chewy and really delicious.
Valentine’s Day is around the corner and whether it’s a small token of your affection or an extravagant gesture to signify your love, getting your loved one a heart shaped gift is a surefire way to put a smile on their face.
